We have arrived at the day I am able to bear weight. I went to the clinic and I tested my flexion – 120 degrees with some resistance. Ain assisted with getting my flexion to 125 degrees. Because of this progress we could hit the bike immediately – YES!
I didn’t have any expectations – they only lead to disappointment, so I received everything as I was, at that moment.
She started me walking on both crutches – this felt normal though my foot was a little tingly. I had the option to use one crutch but I decided not to rush things and keep it to two crutches.
Then we headed over to the leg press, and I started doing some light leg presses!
It felt amazing.
Later on I headed into the office, and went to the gym after work.
I did some light hamstring curls (there was a bit of pain on the outer side so we reduced it to the lightest weight), and a sick upper body workout. A sweat fest… finally!
As you can tell, I’m feeling chuffed today.
I don’t want to take these moments for granted, so I’m taking a moment to record these feelings.
The day ended with a video-call to a good friend I haven’t seen since pre-pandemic.
