How have 15 days sped along like that? I didn’t have time to update, but I have been going for physiotherapy regularly (2x a week, some weeks 3x). I’ve been doing all my exercises – minimum of 2 sets a day.
I’ve also started incorporating some light upper body workouts, and single leg planks to build my core. I’ll be going to the physio and gym tomorrow.
I also went out to 2 events (becoming an expert in navigating with crutches) over the weekend.
I start weight bearing tomorrow – it will still apparently take SIX WEEKS to get off crutches entirely.
It’s hard to notice the tiny improvements each day, but zooming out – wow things are moving along quickly, it seems!
My heel-to-butt activation is still bad (it feels stuck at 90 degrees), but I have been able to get passive flexion to about 110 degrees before I meet resistance. Extension still looks good.
My swelling went down from week 3 (I really attribute it to my Game Ready). I still have some swelling at the top of the knee cap – it’s interesting because that’s where most of the fluid gathered pre-injury too.
Thankful there haven’t been any major issues so far.
